1. How do I select the right silencer size (GWS16 vs. GWS25)?

Select the model matching your pump’s exhaust outlet flange size:

Choose GWS16 for pumps with a KF16 (NW16) exhaust port (e.g., GWSP75, GWSP150, GWSPB75, GWSPB150).
Choose GWS25 for pumps with a KF25 (NW25) exhaust port (e.g., GWSP300, GWSP600, GWSP800, GWSP1000, GWSPB300, GWSPB500).

2. What is the difference between Paper and Polyester silencer elements?

Paper Element: Recommended for dry, standard laboratory applications. It delivers maximum acoustic absorption and fine dust retention.
Polyester Element: Recommended for processes with humid discharge gases or light moisture. Polyester media resists moisture breakdown, maintains structural integrity, and can be gently blown clean or washed for reuse.

3. Does installing the GWS silencer create harmful backpressure on the pump?

No. The GWS exhaust silencer is designed with large internal surface area and optimized flow channels to keep exhaust backpressure well below the pump’s allowable safety threshold. To maintain low backpressure over time, simply inspect and replace the internal cartridge periodically when clogged.
