Filter Elements for GWT Filters & GWS Silencers

High-efficiency replacement filter elements in premium paper and polyester media for particulate capture, acoustic dampening, and long-term equipment protection across GWT foreline filters and GWS exhaust silencers.

Price range: $20.00 through $60.00

Dedicated replacement filter cartridges engineered specifically for Geowell vacuum accessories, offering high-retention paper and washable polyester options across all GWT filter and GWS silencer sizes to maintain peak vacuum conductance and clean operation.

Features and Benefits

Paper Media: Superior Sub-Micron Filtration

Engineered with dense cellulosic micro-fibers offering high retention efficiency for fine dry airborne dust and particulate contaminants in dry laboratory and cleanroom environments.

Polyester Media: Moisture-Resistant & Washable

Constructed from durable synthetic polyester fibers that resist moisture breakdown in humid exhaust streams, maintain structural integrity, and can be gently blown or washed for reuse.

100% Exact-Fit for GWT & GWS Assemblies

Precision-molded end caps and exact dimensional tolerances ensure airtight sealing inside all GWT25/40 filter housings and GWS16/25 silencer bodies without bypass leakage.

Maintains Optimal Airflow & Low Flow Resistance

Optimized pleat geometry maximizes effective filtration surface area, ensuring high vacuum conductance and preventing unwanted flow restriction or excessive exhaust backpressure.

1. Which filter element do I need for my GWT filter or GWS silencer?

Simply match the element model directly to your housing size:
  • For GWT Foreline Filters: Select GWT25 Element for GWT25 housings (KF25) or GWT40 Element for GWT40 housings (KF40).
  • For GWS Exhaust Silencers: Select GWS16 Element for GWS16 silencers (KF16) or GWS25 Element for GWS25 silencers (KF25).

2. How do I choose between Paper and Polyester media?

  • Choose Paper for standard dry applications where capturing fine, dry dust particles or achieving maximum acoustic absorption in exhaust lines is the priority.
  • Choose Polyester if your process involves humid gases, light moisture, condensable vapors, or heavy dust loading. Polyester is moisture-resistant, mechanically rugged, and can be cleaned and reused multiple times.

3. How do I know when it is time to replace or clean the filter element?

We recommend inspecting the cartridge periodically (monthly in industrial processes; every 1,000–2,000 hours in clean labs). Replace or clean the element when:
  1. The outer surface shows heavy dust accumulation or dark discoloration.
  2. You observe a noticeable drop in pump intake pumping speed (for GWT filters).
  3. You notice an increase in exhaust backpressure or noise (for GWS silencers).

4. How do I clean and reuse a Polyester filter element?

Gently blow low-pressure clean compressed air from the inside to the outside of the cartridge to dislodge dust cake. For sticky or moist residue, wash with lukewarm clean water or mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and ensure the element is completely dry before reinstalling. (Note: Paper elements cannot be washed and must be replaced).
